The command palette now runs actions as well as jumping to sections: write a note, import, open the report or the query console, export CSV or PDF, ask Notey, connect a platform or an AI app, and more. The Overview rail has a What’s new card you can dismiss.
Search, tags, view, origin, dates and order now sit in one filter bar and are kept in the page address, so a filtered Library survives a reload and can be bookmarked or shared.
Upload your Kindle My Clippings file or pull your Readwise highlights, and each book becomes a Library piece you can repurpose. Your Readwise token is used once and never stored. The Import Hub also gains Save inspiration, Upload image and Your Substack Notes tiles.
Settings can add your mark to images as they publish, with a position, an opacity and the platforms to apply it on. If marking an image fails, the post still goes out.
The render window now shows frame thumbnails and the audio waveform under the start and end fields, so you can see where you are trimming.
An X Article in the queue is now published at its slot instead of being left as a draft on X. If X refuses (for example, the account has no Premium), the queue card says so and links to the draft.
The calendar has three modes: Plan for planned notes, Write for drafts and anything still needing words, and Analyze for what has been published.
The Team tab can build the performance report for each client workspace and download it as a web page.
A Feature status section shows which optional features are available, and features that are not set up are turned off with an explanation instead of failing. Agent run control shows whether Notey is working and lets you stop it, with a confirmation.
A skill can carry its own schedule. Installing it also sets up a standing task that produces drafts for your review, never published posts.
The API and MCP can now find the next free posting slot, attach an image or video from a URL, and read a published note’s engagement. Rate limits are now per key scope (60 requests a minute for full and draft-only keys, 120 for read-only) and every response carries X-RateLimit headers. SDK 0.3.0 can list, create and delete scheduled tasks.
When a note goes to Dev.to, Hashnode, Paragraph, Lemmy or a Listmonk campaign, any HTML you wrote in it (a details block, a line break, a kbd, an image with a width, a div with an alignment, an embed) now arrives as the text you typed instead of being rendered there. This is for every note, not only text imported from a document, so a note behaves the same however its text got there. Also changed on those five services: a link written in angle brackets arrives as plain text; a < that begins something that looks like a tag in ordinary text is sent as text, so it shows as you typed it; a code span that contains a pipe character has its < sent as text too; and a note with a numbered list item (other than 1) right after a code block, or one too long or too tangled to analyse, is sent with every < as text, code included. Code blocks and code spans without a pipe, headings, lists, links and emphasis are otherwise sent as you wrote them.
If you rely on raw HTML in those services, tell us: a per-connection switch to pass it through is the follow-up.
The right rail, the AI tab and a new phone sheet (behind a floating Notey button) now share one conversation. Your message shows at once, the steps Notey took are saved with each reply, and replies can hold tables and drawn diagrams. An empty chat offers starter prompts, and replies have Copy, your messages have Reuse, and a failed turn has Try again. The chat only scrolls itself while you are at the bottom.
Analytics now has Overview, Growth, Engagement, Links, Ask your data, Report and Ideas views, each linkable, with the performance report called out at the top of Overview. Ideas explains why a post did well against your own typical post and builds an idea matrix of new angles to try.
The card menu is grouped into Write & repurpose, Media, Share & publish and Manage, with Compose and Ask Notey as buttons on the card. A piece with mermaid or excalidraw diagrams gets Draw the diagrams, which shows them as images without changing the piece. Viral rewrite drafts a new version shaped by the patterns in your own best posts.
A video picked in Compose is also stored on NoteSurge’s own media host, so X and the other platforms NoteSurge posts to directly get the video instead of a refusal or a post without it.
Email sign-up has an unticked Share product usage data box with a link to the privacy page. Sharing stays off unless you tick it, and you can change it later in Settings.
The front page was reworked again, with frames of the real product, a what’s new section and a capability grid that reads from the same list the app uses. The terms of service are final, with the draft banner gone.
