NoteSurge Changelog

v1.1.0

v1.1.0

July 9, 2026

Added

Bluesky, direct

Post to Bluesky directly now, using an app password you generate in Bluesky’s own settings.

No OAuth screen, no third-party relay in the middle, no extra subscription to pay for.

A smarter queue

"Add to queue" drops a note into your next open posting slot automatically now, based on the times you’ve configured in Settings, so most of the time you never even see a date picker.

Queue timestamps read like "in 3 hours" or "tomorrow at 6:00 PM" instead of a raw locale string nobody parses at a glance.

  • Requeue any past note (published, failed, or canceled) with its original content pre-filled and a fresh time picker
  • Filter your queue by platform
  • Archive library items you don’t want cluttering your default view, without deleting the underlying import

Built to recover

A note that fails to publish retries on its own now, with backoff, up to 5 attempts, instead of sitting there failed until you happen to notice it.

  • A dismissible banner shows up if publishing looks stuck (nothing published in over 2 hours despite pending notes)
  • An optional Slack or Discord alert webhook pings you the same moment
  • You’ll be told the instant your Substack session needs reconnecting, instead of posts quietly failing against an expired cookie
